Welcome to our Hudson Valley series, where we feature our favorite spots in the Hudson Valley region of the State of New York!

Peach Hill Park is a scenic 159-acre park, formerly an orchard, that is open for the public to enjoy. The park includes the highest point of the Town of Poughkeepsie at 485 feet along with 3.5 miles of hiking trails. There are plenty of scenic views, including the Catskills off in the distance. The park is pet friendly, full of flora and fauna, and a must-visit for locals.

View from the Summit

There is a free parking lot at the base of the park and is easily found on Google Maps with the following address: 32 Edgewood Drive, Poughkeepsie NY 12603. At the parking lot is the entrance to the park with a map outlining the 5 different trails. The park had plenty of signs pointing out the different trails and the mowed grass serves as an easy path.

The trails are uphill, but relatively short, with plenty of benches and picnic tables along the way. The pond trail is the only one that doesn’t reach the summit. You can’t go wrong with any of them!
